The Spirit of Resilience

When Hawke arrived at HeartSong, his body carried the strain of evacuation, injury, and loss after surviving the Alexander Mountain Fire. Underweight and sore, he was guarded but deeply willing — a horse whose resilience was clear from the start.

Rehabilitation began with close collaboration between HeartSong and his veterinary team to ensure he received the intensive medical support he needed. Alongside that care, we introduced laser, BEMER, gentle fascial release, cranial sacral work, herbal support, and somatic exercises to help his recovery.

Week by week, Hawke began to open up. His posture lifted, his movement became more fluid, and his natural curiosity started to shine through again.

Hawke’s recovery is a testament to the healing power of integrated care — where veterinary treatment and holistic rehabilitation come together to support the whole horse.
